Google calendar widget not displaying events on home screen

Hi! One of my most used features is seeing my day at a glance with the google calendar widget. I am on 16.1 and did a lot of updates and now my widget just says “open”. I have tried restarting my phone, deleting the widget and adding it again, and nothing seems to fix it. Yes, I do have an event today at 8pm it should be showing. Thank you!
