I had the same problem, and setting ">Automatically AirPlay to TV's to Never" did not work.

This solution works for me, go to Settings > Display & Brightness > Auto-Lock and set it to Never.

Of course, after your finished playing video you'll need to go set Auto-Lock again, if needed.

Hope that helps.

Hey there loopydloop,

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. We're happy to provide some assistance.

Let's make sure your device is up-to-date. If it is updated, let's restart your device. Restarting your device and making sure it is updated can resolve many unexpected issues.

Take a look here on how to restart your iPhone: Restart your iPhone

Take a look here on how you can update your iPhone: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

Also, let's go to Settings > General > AirPlay & Handoff > Automatically AirPlay to TVs > Is it set to Never? If not, let's set it to Never to help isolate this issue.

Keep us posted.

Have a great day!
