I have duplicate icons for an installed application on my Home Screen. How can I remove the duplicate icons without uninstalling the application. to recreate, launch an application. Drag the app icon from the right side of the dock to the left, then release. Now drag the icon to the Home Screen. I've been able to get three copies at a time on a Home Screen.

I doubt its intended, but you never know.
Instead of deleting the App, tap on “Remove from Home Screen”. It should remove the duplicates while leaving the original app untouched.
And yes, have confirmed this is a bug and can create multiple copies of an app as you describe.
