5G Wi-Fi not showing up iPhone 14 Pro

My wifi router has two networks 2.4G and 5G. My new iPhone 14Pro does not show the 5G. It just shows and connects to the 2.4Ghz wireless network. The phone did not show the 5G even during the initial startup. My other devices in the household show and connect to the 5G. Am I missing anything? The 2.4G is slow. Please help.

iPhone 14 is capable of Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) with 2x2 MIMO

From your question I presume that you know this --> Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax) replaces Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac), which in turn replaced Wi-Fi 4 (802.11n) as the standard for Wi-Fi speed in 2013

The iPhone 11 and later is capable of connecting to Wi‑Fi 6 (802.11ax)

Now the question is what is the router / modem that you are connecting to? If it has WiFi 5 or WiFi 4 the iPhone 11 and higher will only connect to WiFi 5 or WiFi 4 because it has downward compatibility. If the router has WiFi 6 802.11ax it will seamlessly connect to it with WiFi 6.

In other words, if you have iPhone XS, which has 802.11ac Wi‑Fi 5, it will connect to a router with only 802.11ac WiFi 5 even if the router has WiFi 6 (802.11ax).

yes, by 5G I meant 5 GHz, sorry for confusion.

My iPhone 14pro does not show the 5GHz network at all, just showing the 2.4GHz network. My wifi router does not support WiFi6, but I don't think this is the issue. Still I should be able to connect to 5GHz wireless network at home. My other devices connects to the 5GHz with no problem.

Does iPhone 14Pro only connect to WiFi 6?! or I should look elsewhere?
