why do my contacts not show up when calling had to reset phone after last update but since update yesterday have the Sam problem
The name of the contact is not showing on calling screen just number and on occasion “maybe John”.

Thanks when following these steps I do not see which account is default but I switched off gmail contacts and kept I cloud. Did a test with my husband and it came up with number only and suggested my name as the contact again.

To further isolate the cause of this, can you tell us if this occurs on both incoming and outgoing to calls? Does it affect all contacts or just some? Does the issue occur if you message the contacts?
Take one of the affected contacts and delete it from your iPhone, restart, and add the contact back. See if it works as expected after that. This can help us better understand the issue.

Thanks I have done as suggested and deleted one of the contacts and put it back on - still only displays the number and underneath says “maybe and the name. Only happens on incoming calls. Not on messages or what’s app. Been testing with my husband and yesterday when he called me it displayed his number and underneath it said maybe and my name! When I bought the new phone - last month I also changed provider to Virgin and had a new sim. Any help appreciated.
