Apple Watch series 3 seconds dial is not moving while on Chronograph

Welcome to Apple Support Communities. We understand that you're having an issue with the Chronograph face on your Apple Watch. We'd like to help.

From what you've described, it appears that this is expected behavior on this face. The seconds hand you're seeing is actually part of the stopwatch that is able to be started right from the watch face. Open and choose a stopwatch

1. Open the Stopwatch app  on your Apple Watch, or tap the stopwatch on your watch face (if you’ve added it or you’re using the Chronograph or Chronograph Pro watch face).

2. Choose Analog, Digital, Graph, or Hybrid on the Stopwatch screen.

3. To choose a different format while viewing a stopwatch, tap <, then choose a format.
