How to Send multiple photos stored on iPad with gmail

how I can send multiple photos currently stored on my iPad via gmail?

and can I send them so that they take up less space on the recipients device eg smaller than the size they are sent as normal gmail ‘attachments’?

Thanks!

iPad, 15

Re:how I can send multiple photos currently stored on my iPad via gmail?

In the "Photos" app,

Tap "Select"

Tap the photos you want to send.

Tap the "Share" icon.

Gmail may have a limit on the Mb size of individual eMails that can be sent.

Two or three full-size photos per eMail should be ok.

If you send low-resolution photos, maybe you could send more, but they would be down-graded in quality.

Yes. Here's a way to do that:

Also:

You can make the file-size smaller for sending by compressing the photos into one zip-file,

though the files are uncompressed to normal-size by the recipient for viewing.

If you use iCloud, larger groups of photos (up to 5 GB) could be sent using MailDrop

Mail Drop limits – Apple Support. (Seems GoogleDrive may have an option like this too.)

Hope this helps :-)

If you are not using the Mail app for Gmail, there will not be an option to do that.

Otherwise you would select Mail, and a new message in Mail with the attachment should appear,

ready for adding address details, and sending from the account (eg Gmail) that you choose.

Another option may be to just

Save the Zip to "Files" app.

Begin composing a new eMail,

"Add" the attachment by browsing for it.

ie:

Tap in the email where you want to insert the attachment,

Tap the "page with folded corner" icon above the keyboard, (or whatever attachment icon is used ?paperclip)

then locate the document in Files.

How to compress photos by creating a zip file was helpful. Done. However in Photos I only have limited options: Airdrop, Message, Mail which is Apple Mail, Notes Reminder. The is no option to export to Gmail? No Export option at all? Is there an app I have to download to do this? If yes which app from where? Thanks a lot :D
