4K downloading

Until a few days ago, I was able to see which movies I had purchased in 4K and was able to download them to my M1 Macbook Air so that I could back them up to my local itunes server. Today, I tried to resume that task, only to find that I could no longer see that option on the left hand column of the TV app. While not ideal, I had a pretty good idea of what movies I own in 4K and began to download again only to find that everything seems to now be in 1080P and not the 4K versions that I purchased a second time in order to have those versions. How do I go about downloading actual 4K versions of movies that I purchased in 4k? I have always made it my policy to purchase media so that the people who worked so hard on it would continue to get paid for their work as they should. Apple has no right to tell me that I can't download a full featured 4K version of a movie that I purchased. I hope someone has a reasonable answer.

Hi marcg007,

We see that you're having an issue downloading movies that you've purchased in 4K.

Let's review the following resource first: Find movies with 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision, or Dolby Atmos in the Apple TV app - Apple Support

In addition to that resource, for steps on how to redownload your past purchases, you'll want to ensure that you're following the steps in the following page:

Redownload TV shows and movies that you purchased - Apple Support

If the issue persists, Contact Apple for support and service

Cheers.
