Fitness app does not receive cycling data from health kit?

I don’t have an Apple Watch, but I do manually input my daily exercise into the health kit app, which is cycling on my stationary bike at home. The health kit and the Apple fitness app appear to not be fully connected, because none of my cycling data is in the fitness app.

is there a fix for this?

Hey Allieababwaaa,

Are you following the steps at the top of this article Manage Health data on your iPhone, iPod touch, or Apple Watch - Apple Support?

How to add data to the Health app
The Health app automatically counts your steps, walking, and running distances. And, if you have an Apple Watch, it automatically tracks all of your Activity data. If you're already using another app to track your health, you can try adding data from the app to Health, so all your information is in one place.
The Date, Time, and number of Steps entered for Activity on an iPhone.
Enter information about your health
1. Open the Health app and tap the Browse tab.
2. Tap a category, like Activity.
3. Tap a subcategory, like Steps.
4. Tap Add Data in the upper-right corner.
5. Enter the date, time, and data for that activity.
6. When you're finished, tap Add.

If you are, we recommend contacting Apple Support to look into this further with you: Get Support

All the best.

Hi,

Sorry if I wasn't being clear. This is a very basic stationary bike, with no app integration. I manually enter my miles cycled into the *Apple Health Kit* (basic health app for iPhone) under the "Cycling" category. This data does not carry over to the *Apple Fitness app*, which is now available for iPhone and was originally intended for Apple Watch. That's what I'm trying to figure out, because the Apple Fitness app keeps insisting that I'm not meeting my daily goals. Thanks! :)

Hi Allieababwaaa,

You can enter data into the Health app in numerous ways.

In this case it looks like you'd want the cycling data to port over automatically from our cycling app, is that right? If so, the app would need to be compatible. Does your stationary bike have an app that you've installed?

You can see how to manage your data in the Health app here: Manage Health data on your iPhone, iPod touch, or Apple Watch - Apple Support

Let us know, and we'll continue based off that info.

Cheers!
