Ventura on MacBook Air: System settings has frozen. I cannot close it and I cannot restart my machine. I successfully added a legacy contact and System Settings froze when I tried to add a second one. Any ideas?

Hi fritziann,

It seems you're having trouble with your Mac not responding and we want to help.

If you can't force quit the apps or restart and your Mac is unresponsive, then you can force it to shutdown by holding the power button:

You can force a shutdown if necessary—for example, if your Mac becomes unresponsive—by pressing and holding the power button until your Mac shuts down. You may lose unsaved changes in open documents.

Shut down or restart your Mac
