Ignore built-in trackpad when mouse or wireless trackpad is present

Hello,

I recently discovered this function, but it is not working. I am using a Bluetooth-connected Logitech MX Master 3 for Mac, and unfortunately have no other mouse to test with.

From what I can find online it seems there was an issue prior, but it should have been fixed with an update. However, mine doesn't work.

I am using a Macbook M1 Air running macOS Ventura 13.0

What can I do to resolve the issue?

Thanks.

Hello Henrikarnroed,

That's the best we got. This article say: Change Pointer Control settings for accessibility on Mac - Apple Support

"If you use a non-Apple mouse, the driver software that came with your mouse may prevent this option from working as expected. For information, see the documentation for your mouse."

Until we can verify if it works properly with an Apple Mouse or Magic Trackpad, we have to assume it's the troubleshooting driver stopping this.

You can check with the manufacturer if it needs an update to work with the current macOS version: Contact a third-party vendor - Apple Support

Thanks.
