Notes

Does anybody have any idea whuy it is that in my ipad and iphone there are 9889 notes but in my MBP there are 10167?

Can someone point me to some documentation that explains the logic (if any) of how this syncing is supposed to work. In addition to the discrepancy with the total number of notes there are also issues with the folders, for instance the ipad and iphone have 5 imported notes folders but the MBP only 2, the web version has 5 but with different names.

Currently I'm using Bear and was wanting to switch over to Apple notes but it seems to me that the software is somewhat flaky, or is it just that I have too many notes?

Any advice appreciated.

Hello,

My best guess is that this has to do with what accounts you have set up in Notes on your iPhone/iPad vs. your MBP. Either an account with a service provider or an app that is only saving on your device instead to iCloud.

Add or remove accounts in Notes on iPhone - Apple Support

Add or remove accounts in Notes on Mac - Apple Support

In the case you are using iCloud to store notes make sure your iCloud Settings have notes enabled for all your devices.

I hope this helps.
