How to tell if my 20W USB-C Apple adapter is original or fake?

Did you buy this directly from Apple or an Apple Authorized Reseller? If so, then it is an original. Otherwise, chances are it could be fake. Just looking at an image of a box does not guarantee that what is inside it is an original Apple part.
