MacOS is designed not to repeat most letters. When you hold down a letter like "a" on the US layout, you should get a popup menu with accented versions. Does that happen?

I can repeat a letter with holding down the key only in Terminal, but I cannot do it in Work, Excel, Google sheet, Notes(Mac default Notepad).

I have checked the keyboard setting on "Key Repeat" & "Delay until repeat".

Pls anybody can help?
