Can anyone assist please in telling me how to get my iPhone 12pro to synch text messages with my MacBook Pro and iPad? I have searched for answers and followed directions. I am signed in to the same iCloud account on all devices. MMS Messaging and Group Messaging are both turned on. Thank you!

Thank you! iMessage was turned on. iMessage is turned on on my iPad. On my MacBook, with Messages window open, I go to Messages>Preferences>iMessage>enable Messages in iCloud is enabled. And I clicked "Sync Now." That did not resycn the texts on devices of past texts. New texts are still not synced.
I found the answer to my problem. Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, and then Start New Conversations From had to be my cell phone number and not an email address. Problem solved!
On your iPhone, go to Settings > Messages > and turn on iMessage, then you can enable Text Message Forwarding on your iPad and MacBook.
PS: It is not possible to resync text history once devices get out of sync. The solution just provided only solves the issue of texts not syncing across devices going forward.
