Safari is slower over wifi compared with Firefox

I have a slow WIFI connection between my 2021 24 Inch MAC computer running Ventura 13.0 with the newest Verizon CR100A router.  The speed from the internet to the router is quite fast with a 948 download speed and 846 upload speed.

However, the issue is with the slowness of the wireless connection between the router and the M1 Mac.

I used the Verizon speed test with a 5G connection using Safari, and the download speed was 262 and the upload speed was 45 and the latency was 53 ms.

I then used Firefox doing the same test, the download speed was 218 and the upload speed was 198 and the latency was 8 ms.

I connected the router to the Mac using an ethernet cable (CAT6) and ran the same Verizon speed test using Safari and the download speed was 242 and the upload speed was 9 with 194 ms.

I then used Firefox and the download speed was 951 and the upload speed was 435 with 5 ms.

Verizon says its equipment is running fine by the proof that the speed to the router is 948/846.  Verizon sent me a replacement router just in case the other one was faulty and I purchased an extender as well.  Apple had the Mac for 5 days and did a clean install of the operating system and performed various tests as well.  The reported results are after all the above changes were made.

Any suggestions going forward?
