Im having a frustrating problem with my iPhone 13 Pro Max running 16.1.
At random times, the wallpaper disappears leaving me with a black screen. I have to reboot to get the wallpaper back momentarily, but it disappears again.
Will Apple be releasing a fix for this?
yeah Really frustrating. I was hoping there would be a fix on 16.1.1 but there wasn’t.
I have my favorite picture of my favorite golden retriever who died in 2020. Now I can’t have it as my wallpaper, which is really sad to me.

14 pro as well!!! Disappears
I set a different photo as wallpaper then go back to original one, and they both come back. The Lock Screen and active screen, different wallpapers - I don’t see that option any longer, to have different wallpaper on lock and active screen….. :(
Reported matter to Apple care and apparently technician was not aware of issue…placed on hold and hung up after waiting a while… still not resolved!!!
Edit. The issue is happening in iPhone 14 Pro Max.
On the 13 Pro Max as well...
