Greetings, spotlight is no longer finding my applications. I have removed applications and re-added still nothing. I've done the usual rebooting as well. I'm actually on Ventura 13.0 but that wasn't a choice and this has been happening since Monterey as well. Thanks!

Thanks for the reply! Yes Applications are selected in my Spotlight search results. And I have toggled that on and off multiple times to see if that would trigger making them available.
When I used your syntax, I start typing and from the beginning apps is never brought up as an option. I see shared links, mail and messages, photos from apps, documents, tips, events & reminders, and related searches. By the time I get to Kind:app it does come up to show Safari and gives a link to show more which opens the applications directory in a new window, but when I type name: safari goes away and the only thing remaining is 'related searches, search the web'

Hi, thanks, understood. It only finds safari, no other app. Same behavior if I type kind:app or just type in the spotlight search. Yes I've tried kind:app name:activity monitor and many others and it finds nothing. But will work with Safari. It's really odd. Any help appreciated.
For me on Ventura 13.0, those reserved words that I suggested, and when changing the myapp name to Safari shows Safari as the top most result.
And what is your Spotlight search syntax to locate applications, and are Applications selected in your Spotlight search results settings?
What happens if you use this:
kind:app name:myapp
It only finds Safari, no other app, what might that mean? Thanks!
If you use "kind:app name:safari" it will only find apps named safari. If you want to find a different app you need to change "Safari" to the app you want to find.
