FB messenger does not work on my iPad. Any ideas why?

I have a 7th gen iPad with 7 gigs of storage that is updated but, it will not allow FB messenger to work. What can I do to fix it?

Have you tried deleting & reinstalling the FB messenger?

There are many reports of issues with FaceBook Messenger with iPadOS15/16. You would be best advised to report your difficulties and seek assistance from FaceBook Support.
