Earlier today I fell for a phishing scam. A pop up appeared on my safari saying that I needed to download a VPN app to stop my IP address being leaked. I followed the link which took me to the Apple store and I downloaded the VPN app. But as soon as I downloaded I realised this was a bit fishy so I didn’t go on the app and deleted it immediately. Has my phone been hacked by this phishing scam?

this was the app. I’m in the UK so maybe that’s why I can find it and you can’t? Either way I appreciate your reassurance
Yes, your phone is still secure. If you remember what the app was I can report it (or you can).
Seems it just replicates what iOS already does
I don’t see it in the App Store. Was it on a website, perhaps? And did it prompt you to accept it?
go to Settings/General/VPN & device management and see if it installed a profile.
The question is if this is the app the OP was sent to by a spam link, or is it a different one? If it’s the same one it needs to be reported.
