Has anyone figured this problem out yet? I am on a MacBook Air (M1 2020) running Version 12.4 and can not get it to update since this summer.

Thanks. Mine does not have the T2 Security Chip. It's a MacBook Air (M1, 2020).
I finally had to just erase the computer and reload the new system and then use Migration Assistant from my backup. Working fine now after months of trying to get this solved without erasing.
Ownership typically indicates the machine has a registered owner under its T2 chip.

That's exactly what means. Reset the Full Security on recovery mode as the link I gave describes.
that's suprising, all systems after 2017 were supposed to have a T2 chip.
Not all. At least, the Early 2019 iMac models do not have the T2.
