Sony WH-CH510 wireless headphones won't play with my MacBook Pro

I can pair my Sony WH-CH510 wireless headphones and they show up in the Bluetooth list but the do not show up on the sounds/output. Consequentially I cannot get the sound through the headphones. Can anyone help?

Install the free Sony Headphone Connect app on iOS/iPadOS and run it. Under System, it may have a firmware update for your headphones that suddenly allow them to pair with Vendura.

I have the WH-1000XM4 headphones and they would not pair with my 2021 16-in MBP M1 Pro until I updated the headphone firmware. It also enabled by ability to concurrently pair these headphones with two M1 Macs.

Hi, delius1934

try this : https://helpguide.sony.net/mdr/whch510/v1/en/contents/TP0002402826.html

if you have an Intel MacBook Pro, you can reset the smc/pmu and zap the pram 3-4 times on startup which should help… you may have to mess around with audio midi setup… set up headphones as one audio output… after the headphones show up as a Bluetooth device and you pair them with your MacBook Pro… if you click on Bluetooth menu, then on cog you will have access to some Bluetooth options…,

If you hold down “option” key while clicking on speaker icon, you’ll see a list of all available audio inputs + outputs…

well, I tried…
