Strange hinge click sound every time I open the lid of my MacBook Air

There is often a strange hinge click sound every time I open the lid of my m2 air to a certain angle, also sometimes I am using my m2 air on my lap, there will be a squeaky sound like the hinge click I mentioned above, but even worse, it is like the sound that a plastic product would made. Is anyone out there has the hinge click issue with the m2 air?

Hi. I think that I have the same issue. When I fully open my MBA M2 lid it’s hinge (especially the right one) makes sort of click noise. I’m sure lots of MBA with M2 do that but most people simply don’t notice this. I’ve also had MBP with M1 before and it made the same noise. Even the lid replacement won’t fix it. The noise will come back over time. It’s embarrassing that such an expensive products have “defects”, but there’s nothing we can do.
