Moving pdfs from iBooks to Files

I want to convert my iBooks pdfs to my Files and then delete them from iBooks. Once I move my pdfs from iBooks to Files, can I delete them from iBooks "everywhere" and still retain the same pdfs I saved in Files?

how to "save to files" from safari on imac? With my iPad if I have a .PDF open in Safari, I can tap the Share button and one option will be 'Save to Files' where I can save the PDF into iCloud Drive.
