Photos repeating

Like another user here, I cannot get my photos to stop repeating when I use the slideshow function, even though I have "do not repeat" turned on. I do not have multiple versions of the same photo in the album, I have restarted many times over the years and I have the latest version running. I bought the apple tv specifically so I could feature my photos on my tv. I have assumed for years that this was a bug that would one day be noticed and fixed but here we are. Why does this happen and will it ever be fixed?

Hey there krworkman,

We'd like to help get slideshows to work as expected, but we'll need more details to better understand what's happening, along with ruling out some basics:

Has this always been an issue, or did out start sometime after first using your Apple TV?
Does it seem to be the same photos that repeat in a slideshow, or is it more random?
We see you have tvOS 16 installed, but the latest would be tvOS 16.1. You can verify this within Settings > General > About. Here's a link that'll show how to Update your Apple TV.
