Hi all,
adding to this, because we have the same problem since upgrading to Ventura.
We have multiple Mac mini M1 and luckily upgraded only the half of them, until we discovered the issue.
Which also gave us the perfect possibility to recreate and compare.
Specs / What we found out so far:
- Mac: Mac mini M1 2020 (both systems)
- Final Cut Version: 10.6.4 (both systems)
- Same File used, same Final Cut Project used
- VideoFile: .mov Container, H.264 Codec, 1920x1080 (FullHD), Framerate set to 50p, Format set to AVCHD
- Camcorder: Panasonic HC-V777 (Same issue with Panasonic HC-VX870, there will be more models)
- Maybe important: We only have the issue with camcorders, where the framerate in Quicktime ist displayed as 49,78 instead of 50. The framerate is displayed this way on both MacOS Versions
- In MacOS Monterey 12.5, footage is playing smoothly on Finder, Quicktime and Final Cut Pro, no issues
- In Mac OS Ventura 13.0, footage on Finder and Quicktime is stuttering (No glitches, but no fluent playback) and on Final Cut Pro you can see glitches (even in still frames), seen in the attached Screenshot
- Can distribute the test-file, if needed/allowed
Best regards
Michael
