Messages from Android users not received on my MacBook Pro (OS 11.7)

I do not receive messages from non-iPhone senders on my MacBook Pro. The senders are in my Contacts.

my OS is 11.7. The messages appear on my iPhone but not on my MacBook.


I am new to this forum so not sure how to find a subject referenced above. Thank you for any assistance.

You need to enable Text Message Forwarding: How to forward SMS/MMS text messages from your iPhone to your iPad, iPod touch or Mac - Apple Support.
