"Why does it say my battery needs service?: It doesn’t show less than 80% until the end of the night. Do I need to take my phone to an Apple Store? I’m worried it’s a scam to get me to buy a new iPhone or battery for hundreds of dollars"

Look Up the Battery Health:
You're referring to the charge percentage. I am saying it is the Battery Health you must check. When the Battery Health is 80% or lower, it is time for a new battery.

Follow the instructions very carefully. Do not release the Side button until you see an Apple icon appear. If you see a slider to power off, you have to keep holding the Side button until the Apple logo appears. It might take another 20-30 seconds.
If the same message appears, have the phone checked out at an Apple Store or authorized Apple Service shop
Now, im
