I set F1 as my shortcut button for a bullet list style, but I cannot get the shortcut to apply by pressing fn + F1 together. I've tried using my shortcut key combo with the "Use F1, F2 etc. keys as standard function keys" on and off, but I still can't get Pages to apply my bullet list. Any tips?

I found an inconvenient solution. The fn style shortcuts work if you highlight the texts. So, if I want to make a bullet list, I type the list, highlight the list, then use the fn shortcut to apply the bullet style.
Thanks, @skent76. After re-reading the Pages help section, it looks like that is the only way to use the Bullets/Lists keyboard shortcut.
APPLE FEATURE REQUEST: Either let me create quick action buttons in the Toolbar so I can just click one button to apply a new Bullet/List format. Or, make it so the Fn + F1-F8 keyboard shortcut can apply without having to select the text that’s already typed in.
BTW I'm using Pages 12.2 on Ventura 13.0
I’m having the same problem, both with Paragraph Styles and Bullets & Lists styles. The fn key shortcuts still work for Character Styles, but that’s it.
yes I was wanting to do the exact same thing. Pages use to let you do that without highlighting. Apple: Please make that happen so you don't have to highlight first. thank you!
