If I buy an iPhone through Tmobile can I purchase apple care for it?

Yes, you have 60 days from purchasing the phone to add AppleCare+. T-Mobile may be able to add it at purchase time, but be sure to get AppleCare+ and not T-Mobile’s extended warranty.
