Uninstalling DuckDuckGo

How do I completely UNINSTALL the DuckDuckGo App?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 12.6

I followed both suggestions on the above Apple Support link and neither worked:


  1. Using LAUNCHPAD, the DDG jiggling icon did NOT have an "X" next to it like the others did . . . so I could not delete it.


  1. Using FINDER > Apps > the DDG App icon, and dragging it to the trash didn't work because I got the following message:

The item “DuckDuckGo Privacy for Safari.app” can’t be moved to the Trash because some of its extensions are in use.


So then I went to Preferences and clicked on EXTENSIONS, and there were NO extensions listed.


HELP!
