Good day, I have an Iphone XS Max that was updated to IOS 16 and it went perfectly. After few days, my phone suddenly have green and pink lines on the screen and is having ghost touch and freezing screen. Is this problem related to IOS 16 or is my screen damaged?

It sounds like a hardware (screen? digitizer? other internal component?) failure but we, just users like you, cannot diagnose that issue remotely, sorry.
I suggest that you make an appointment (*) and have your device inspected at an Apple Store or AASP (Apple Authorized Service Provider) among this list:--> Apple – Location Selector. After checking it out, they'll give you all the available options.

I would like to offer you an appropriate answer but, as mentioned, the defect of your device cannot be diagnosed remotely by us, just users like you.
Before having it inspected at an Apple center, you can try to contact Apple Support online directly, using this link:--> Get Support, but I am not sure if the tools available to them can correctly diagnose that type of defect remotely.

I also thought hardware failure but the my iphone when not used for like an hour, the screen turns back to normal and when used again, after few minutes, the problem starts to show.
