Cannot connect M720 Triathlon

MacOS Ventura 13.0

The mouse worked until I connected it to a Windows laptop.

After disconnecting it from the Windows laptop, I couldn't connect it to my Mac laptop again (it doesn't show up in the bluetooth devices)

It works if I use the USB dongle, but I don't want to use it

I tried all steps mentioned here https://www.droidwin.com/bluetooth-not-working-on-macos-ventura-fix/

but nothing worked

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 13.0

Had to hold the 'switch' button (the one the furthest away from the scrolling wheel) until the light blinked rapidly and then it connected again
