iPad stuck in landscape

Hi there! I just purchased an iPad Mini 6 running iPadOS 16.6.1, and it is stuck in Landscape Mode with the charge port facing right. I have made sure rotation lock is off, turned rotation lock on and off repeatedly, held the device upright in portrait and moved it up and down which usually helps... all to no avail. Please help!
