Keyboard back light on M2 MacBook Air

This question was originally asked here, Keyboard back light on M2 MacBook Air - Apple Community. I also faced the same issue so thought I'd add my response. In my case, running Ventura on M2 mac, I was able to get this to work by adjusting Keyboard Brightness in `System Settings` > `Keyboard`. While the brightness was still not 0, it had somehow stopped lighting up since upgrade.
