More info on this: I returned the HomePod mini that was having the dead air issue during loopable tracks direct from Apple Music. Loopable track meaning it’s a white noise or water sound to be played continuously all night while sleeping. The new HomePod mini I bought was running an older OS of 15.x and worked fine until it updated to 16.2. Now it has the same issue. So it’s something in the version 16 causing this.

This is also happening to me on 2 different minis after the 16.1 update it seems. It happens using Apple Music as the source.

not playing though iPhone, just directly from the HomePod mini.
