Getting sound clips to play on successive slides in Keynote

When I insert an .MP3 or .MP4a. sound clip into slide #1 it plays fine, but when I insert the same clip into successive slides, it won't play. If I begin at slide #2, the sound clip plays, but won't play in successive slides after that. The same holds true if I start at slide #3; it plays, but won't play on slide #4, or slide #5, etc. What setting can I use to get the same sound clip to play on each slide? Thx.

Use Play Audio Across Slides:

select the sound file on the slide and go to Inspector /Format /Audio /

select the option box for Play Audio Across Slides:

Thanks, Gary.

My issue was resolved when I UNCHECKED the "Play audio across slides" box on each of the slides in the Keynote presentation. Prior to that, I could see the audio clip on all the slides, but it only played on the first slide. My presentation is ready to go now. Thanks for taking time to respond...I appreciate it. Best.
