Hiding open apps on dock

Is there any way I can have open apps like Cardhop not show up on my dock while its open in the background, cause I just want to the the menu bar portion and not the app, and I hate having my dock different from the default dock. Any solution to my apparently unique problem (I looked for a good 10 minutes and there's nothing about it for MacOS Monterey/Ventura).

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 13.0

Command H will hide an open app

Command Tab will present the HUD (heads up display) you can tab through and select.

On the Dock in all honesty... I would forget about it.
