Alarm volume and ringtone volume

I use the alarm feature in the clock app almost daily to wake me up in the morning. But I have to have the volume of the alarm quite low so it doesn’t disturb my wife.

Because it appears that the clock alarm and incoming call and sms ringtone/alerts are linked together it means that when I receive a call/text in the daytime I don’t hear it…!

In an ideal world id like a really loud ringtone/text alert and a quieter clock alarm that is automatic (i.e I don’t have to change the volume back and forth daily cause I’m going to forget to do it at some point).

is it possible to do??
