iMessage loading circle for some conversations

I switched from android to a iPhone 14 pro updated to iOS 16.1. I used the iOS migrate and had it move my text messages as well.

I am able to send and received messages. When I open some conversations, the message disappears and is replaced with a spinning loading circle. Other conversations with less history do not have this issue.

I have tried to reset iMessage. I have tried restarting the phone. I have tried logging out of iMessage. iMessage setting to keep messages forever.

I have seen other posts about this without a confirmed resolution.

Hello A_ntfp68,

Thanks for asking about Messages. Are you using Messages in iCloud?

The only time we can think it would need to load is if it was in iCloud. This brings us to two possibilities at the moment.

1 . You don't have enough iCloud storage: Manage your iCloud storage - Apple Support

"If you run out of iCloud storage, your device won’t back up to iCloud, new photos and videos won't upload to iCloud Photos, and iCloud Drive, other iCloud apps, and messages won't stay up to date across your devices. And you also won't be able to send or receive emails with your iCloud email address."

2 . If it's iCloud storage, upgrade or make space.

3 . Or it's an issue with that wireless network. Try turning off Settings > Wi-Fi and see if they load then. Or, try on another wireless network that meets these requirements: Recommended settings for Wi-Fi routers and access points - Apple Support

Thanks.
