Apple calendar notifications won’t stop

After upgrading to iOS 16 my calendar notifications are going non-stop. These are notifications for calendars I am subscribed to not just my main calendar. This only started after updating.

The notices come in groups of 20 or more and can be for events in the past or future. Got one yesterday for an event 159 days ago.

I am the domain admin and we use Gmail for hosting. I have several other peoples calendars on my phone however those are all deselected. These invites seem to be around calendars I am subscribed to.

I have since turned off all notices and only left on upcoming events in custom notifications. However I will not see new invites now on my calendar.

please find a fix for these notifications alerts on subscribed calendars.
