Apple Music storage issue.

Hello! I recently switched from an iPhone XR to an iPhone 11. I have around 5000 songs downloaded for offline use. On my iPhone XR they took up about 50gbs, but when I moved them and downloaded them on my iPhone 11 they took up 150+gbs. I can’t figure out what the issue is because I synced the music onto the Apple Music app on my new phone, yet they’re taking up more than double the storage they needed on my old phone. What can I do? Is there something I’m doing wrong? Thanks for any help!
