Hi Gv74,
From what you described in your original post, here is what we recommend: If your Mac isn't connecting to the internet over Wi-Fi - Apple Support
Next, we'd like to show you how to perform the recommended troubleshooting steps via the link above. Please click to open the link, read through it, and try the steps in the subheadings below.
1) Restart your Mac
2) Update your Mac
3) Check VPN or other security software
4) Use the built-in diagnostic tools
5) Update the Wi-Fi router
6) Try a different network or contact your ISP
The reason why we are recommending the steps above is because they will show you what to do if you're unable to contact Wi-Fi or experiencing slow Wi-Fi speeds.
If you're still experiencing the same issue, contact the community for more help.
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities.
Cheers!
Hi
I have a similar problem with my iMac.
After updating to Ventura, I cannot turn on wifi. The toggle will not stay on. And wifi network cannot be detected.
I know the wifi works well with other apple devices ie iPad and iPhone in the area where the iMac is located.
And the iMac works fine with the connected Ethernet cable, which is connected to the same router.
I have tried all the steps outlined above- and some more!- all to no avail.
Any thoughts?
chris

when you try to add your problem to this one, it becomes too complex to follow who is speaking, what the specifics of their system is, and the technical details. Clarity is lost, and no one gets helped.
