iPhone Live Photo and same photo saved as still stay same size.

on iPhone Both photos (an original Live Photo) and a still photo (one I duplicated from original and saved as a till photo) remained the same size. I thought the still would be smaller size so to take less storage space than the live. Please help me understand. Thank you.

How do I permanently convert “Live Photos” into stills within my iPhone, in order to save storage space, (as such I would not be able to revert them back to Live Photo’s)? I am using an iPhone 7 Plus on IOS 15.7.1 Unfortunately, I took a lot of Live Photo’s before realising how much space they used compared to stills. I have experimented already, and I’ve tried turning off the the Live feature via editing a photo. Then “duplicating the photo as a still” and finally deleting the original Live photo. I hoped this would reduce the storage space of the still image left behind, but it did not. Upon investigation I found the duplicated still image was the exact same storage size as the original Live Photo. I was even more surprised to find that when editing the duplicated still it gave me the option to revert the image back to the original Live Photo, even after I permanently deleted the original. Which explained why it didn’t save any storage space at all. If anyone has come across this problem and has a workable solution within the iPhone I would be grateful. Thanks in advance…

My Photos are missing after upgrading to a new iPhone I recently got a new iPhone 16 pro max, upgrading from the iPhone 14 Pro Max. I made sure my old phone was backed up fully and transferred all data across to my new phone as usual. However, I seem to be missing around 30 photos on my new device. The number of photos on my old and new device does not match. How do I fix this? Apple suggest going through my photos manually to figure out which ones are missing, as it is not at all clear. However, with around 107k photos this isn’t plausible. I’ve also tried restoring my new phone several times from back up and I’m still missing the same number of photos. All iCloud/photo settings are the same on both devices. No clue why those photos haven’t transferred or even what photos they are! [Re-Titled by Moderator]

The pictures I took on my Apple 12 iPhone will they disappear from my phone due to changes to Apple photo streaming? Will all my photos and videos disappear from my iPhone 12. I saw an article that iPhone streaming would disappear this summer. I purchased an expensive iPhone with a lot of storage so I could keep my pictures safe and stored
