apple watch

i got a watch as a present from a friend, but neither of us can remove his information from the watch itself. is there any other way to master reset a series 5 thats still paired to another device without having it?

The directions in this link need to be followed --> What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Apple Watch, or buy one from someone else - Apple Support


It should be completely reset for you to use it. You should NOT try to use a watch under someone else's account.


If he is unable to do this, you won't be able to use the watch, unless your friend can present the original purchase receipt with the watch serial number noted on the receipt. With that, Apple would be willing to unlock the watch. Without it, they won't.


You yourself can do NOTHING to bypass Activation Lock on the watch.
