Apple Photos Duplicates
I am running Ventura 13.0, and looking for duplicates. The DUPLICATE folder is missing in the sidebar. Any one know how to locate the duplicates?
Thanks!

Try the following in order as needed:
1 - Boot into Safe Mode according to How to use safe mode on your Mac and test to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.
Note: if you have a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries you should connect it with its charging cable to assure a boot into Safe Mode or the Recovery volume.
2 - As a test launch Photos with the Option key held down and create a new, test library. Import a few sets of duplicate photos and test to see if the same problem persists. Does it? This tells us if the problem is limited to your current library or is more wide spread. Then try your original library again.
If there is no duplicates the duplicate-folder will not show. I had duplicates, and after deleting those duplicate photos the duplicate folder disappear again. I guess that is how it is supposed to work.
It will take a while for the library to finish searching and categorizing photos for the various features, i.e. duplicates, faces, etc. So leave the Mac on and Photos in the background for a while.
I have been letting mine run for days. It finds it on my MacBook, but not on my iMac. Strange. For some people it takes days. Both are running Ventura.
I tried that and nothing worked.
Still no Duplicates in upper left on iMac. I Only have it on MacBook.
I have plenty of duplicates cuz my laptop found 880 of them in 32,000 photos but my iMac still doesn’t show the duplicates folder. I even created a dupe.
