How to connect to Apple CarPlay with new USB-C to lightning cable?

How do you connect iPhone 14 to Apple CarPlay with new USB-C to lightening cable?The car only has USB ports. I tried an adapter but it doesn't work.

Do you have an existing USB-A to Lightning cable? If so, that should work, or you can find a USB-A to Lightning cable at many retailers.
