I have made an iMessage group on my phone but it has not synced onto my Macbook and doesn't appear there at all. All other individual messages still work and sync normally but not new groups made on my phone. Old groups still function fine.

If you are not receiving all of your messages on your Mac, ensure both Messages in iCloud and SMS forwarding is set up correctly by following Set up iCloud for Messages on all your devices:
2. Select which email addresses and phone numbers you want to send and receive messages from on your Mac.
3. To see Messages stored in iCloud, open the Messages app."
If it is set up correctly and it still won't sync, restart both device and send another message in that group to see if it syncs.
