stop archiving mail

How do I stop archiving mail in Apple Mail?

I have folders set up for my email where I am filtering my email into those folders, but some email is always disappearing from those folders into the archive folder, and then I have to do a search in all email to find them.

I want all email to be in my folders and I want to removing archiving.

Thanks for trying to help resolve the issue.

However, there are only two options for Mailbox behaviors: Archive or Delete Messages.

I don't want to do either.

  1. I have a Folder set up for each customer where I save their email.
  2. I don't want to delete email from those folders.
  3. I also don't want to archive email because it then leaves their folder.

The solution is not to archive email, but I can't find a way to shut off archiving.

Apple should make an update to include "Don't Archive" in the dropdown selection.

If there is a workaround, I'm anxious to learn about it. Thanks!
