Any reason my phone will not take me to text messages if I click or swipe on the notification?

My iPhone is no longer notifying me when text messages arrive Perhaps since the latest software upgrade, my iPhone is no longer placing a "notification" message on the front screen when a new text message arrives. Notifications are turned-on in general and for the Message app in particular, yet nothing shows up.

Not getting notification of text messages I frequently do not receive a notification of a text message, regardless of who sends it (another iPhone user or not). Is there a solution for this? I've done hard restarts of the phone with and without the message notifications enabled.

Why am I not receiving text message notifications on iPhone? Started about amonth ago. Stop receiving sound notification for text messages. Reboot appeared to fix but now does not. Now in fact NO notifications appear - no banners nothing. Have no idea anyone texted me. This needs fixing ASAP. Iphone 15 plus ios 18.3.1 but is also happening on my husband’s iphone 16 [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Hello,

If you're on the Notifications screen and the phone is not unlocked, could be one reason.

Otherwise, a simple restart could solve the problem.
